Frieren Merch Reveal

When Crunchyroll approached me with a moodboard of my personal & professional work to make a TikTok revealing some of their new merch I was absolutely stoked (to say the least!). I was supplied with the design and product mockup of the hoodie they were revealing, but was otherwise given a huge amount of creative freedom in executing the final product. This hoodie is from the show Frieren, and the design on it features a scene that is directly from the show. I wanted to incorporate as many references as I could from the show in the TikTok- the design of the background is largely a nod to the first season’s cover art and includes significant elements like the blue moon flowers and the design of the lotus ring that I incorporated into the architecture surrounding the hoodie. Some stills from this TikTok were also used in Crunchyroll’s press release about the merch drop as well as in some of the product shots in their store.
